Frequently Asked Questions
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes! I currently have limited morning and afternoon availability. Please feel free to reach out to see if our schedules align.
What ages do you work with?
I work with clients ages 18+. I am happy to provide a list of referrals for other eating disorder therapists who work with adolescent clients.
Will you help me lose weight?
No. I am a weight neutral, Health At Every Size provider and while your body may change as a result of working to heal your relationship with food, I do not prescribe weight loss as a treatment plan for any of my clients. You might begin therapy not fully ready to change your behaviors or give up your pursuit of weight loss - and that’s okay. I’ll be ready to meet you where you’re at while still providing education on the harms that diets can cause.
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA (and other states), Aetna, and Optum (inclusive of United Healthcare and Mass General Brigham Health Plan). I am in-network with private plans of these health insurances only and do not accept MassHealth/Medicaid plans.
I am able to provide Superbills for reimbursement to those who choose to privately pay for therapy. Please note that it is your responsibility to verify your out-of-network benefits with your insurance prior to our first appointment.
What is your fee and payment policy?
My fee is $200 for intake sessions and $175 for all follow-up sessions. Payment is due at the time of your appointment and accepted payment methods are credit card or check (in-person clients only).
Do you offer sliding scale rates?
I aim to make therapy accessible to all and do have a small number of sliding scale spots available - please reach out to me to discuss further.
Do you have an office?
Yes! I have an office space in Watertown, MA and am able to see clients in person (please note that therapy dog Willow will be present for all in-person sessions). My building is unfortunately not ADA accessible - you will need to climb two flights of stairs to reach my office.
For those who are not able or do not want to meet in person, virtual therapy continues to remain an option.
I’m ready! How do I get started?
Please reach out to me via phone or email. From there, we will schedule an initial consultation call to determine if we will be a good fit. I can’t wait to hear from you!
